Morning Mantras: Training Your Mind to Achieve Greatness

Your mind is your most powerful asset. With that being said, training your mind is a necessary step to achieving greatness.

The tribulations we deal with every day sometimes shift our mindset. When things don’t go our way, our first instinct is to dwell on it and allow it to disrupt our day.

Yes, not every day is going to be amazing, fabulous and flawless. Sh*t happens. It is impossible to feel happy and enthused every minute of every day. Some days you’ll wake up without any motivation whatsoever. You’ll question yourself and think, “Is this really what I want? Do I even care about my dreams anymore? I want to give up.” It’s inevitable. It’s human nature. When you feel like your mindset is starting to slip, mantras are there to pick you back up. Sometimes your mind needs to take a little detour to before it can get back on track.

Starting your day with mantras has the power to transform your entire day. Start with one thing you want to change about yourself or your lifestyle. It can be something you come up with on your own or a quote or a quote you find online. Regardless, it has to resonate with you. When you read it, you should think, “yes this is me!” or “this is who I want to become.”

Think it into existence. Repeat it. Make it a part of your routine. At first, it may feel funny or awkward, you may not even believe you can change and become this person.

Trust the process. Believe that this can be you.

You have the ability to train your mind, you just have to believe it.

One mantra that resonates with me at the moment is:

“I wanted a perfect ending. Now I’ve learned the hard way, that some poems don’t rhyme and some stories don’t have a clear beginning, middle and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what’s going to happen next.”
