Closing Loops: A Rebirth

When you’re going through a spiritual growth spurt, you need to leave some parts of your life behind before you can become this new version of yourself. Think of it as a rebirth; a part of you has to die before you can transform into this more alive version of you.

By die, I mean letting go of what no longer serves you and helps you prosper. This can be anything: a mindset, a lifestyle, relationships, a job or even your own ego.

Something I focus on in my private coaching sessions is closing open loops. An open loop is anything that’s constantly weighing on your mind and ultimately distracting you from achieving your goals. It can be a conversation gone bad that you keep replaying in your head, “I need to lose weight,” or “I need to save money.” Before you can evolve, you must take action and close those loops. Stop making excuses as to why you can’t achieve what you want. Let that part of you that doesn’t believe in you die.

Life is going to test you. As soon as you feel comfortable in your new ways, doubt will creep up on you just like that annoying ex who never leaves you alone. They always have perfect timing (rolls eyes). Right when you’re good and doing your thing, they get a signal that it’s time for them to make a comeback and force you to second guess every decision you’ve ever made. This is why you broke up with it in the first place!! You don’t want someone or something that’s going to create unnecessary doubt and unhappiness in your life.

Situations like this will keep arising, but their purpose is to show you that you’re on the right path. Sometimes you may go back to your old patterns, but hey, that’s okay. It happens. As long as you get back up and lock those bad habits to the curb.

But, until you finally stand your ground and refuse to feel that doubt creeping in, it will keep trying to make space for itself in your life. It’s all a game but it’s completely up to you who wins.

This rebirth is going to occur many times over the course of your life. We are humans. We are always evolving and our minds are always changing. A lifestyle that suits you now may no longer serve you in 5 years. Maybe even 1 year. That’s the beauty of life. We all have the ability to change our circumstances at any time and it’s usually as easy as a mindset shifts not even a physical one. The easiest thing to do when things aren’t going your way is to leave. The courageous ones are those who create a golden life with the circumstances they already have, and this opens the door for more amazing-news to come into their life.

What are some open loops in your life right now and what can you do to close them?
